Our impromtu walk this morning at the Wallace Brooks entrance to the lake was eventful. We saw 29 species, Limpkins, Yellow Warbler, House Finch, Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher, Pileated Woodpeckers, Red-eyed Vireos, White-eyed Vireos, etc. The full list will be posted in the bird trax section later. Not only were the birds busy, but there were many species of butterflies. We saw a Tawney Emperor butterfly which was a first for some of us. It was an all around beautiful morning to just be out and about.
